How much does it cost to rent a car in Boston with BlueCar?
Daily rates start at $99 a day for the Toyota Prius Prime, with a 3-day minimum. Weekly rentals are 15% off and monthly rentals 20% off, and the Ford C-Max hybrid is $399 a week. Taxes and any delivery fee are shown before you book.
Can I rent a car without a credit card?
Yes. You can pay with a debit card, cash, Zelle, Venmo or Cash App. Credit cards work too, but they are never required.
Can I rent a car to drive for Uber, Lyft or DoorDash?
Yes. Rideshare and delivery-app driving is allowed on BlueCar’s rideshare picks, with unlimited miles and 15% off weekly rentals.
Do you deliver rental cars?
Yes. We deliver anywhere in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island for a flat $120. You can also pick up for free at 650 Ocean Ave in Revere, 24 hours a day.
Can I pick up a rental car at Logan Airport?
Yes. Take the free Massport 88 shuttle from your terminal to the Economy Garage, next to our meeting point at 239 Prescott St in East Boston. We track your flight, and it costs the standard $120 delivery fee.
What cars can I rent?
Our own fleet is all EVs and hybrids that seat five: the Tesla Model Y, Tesla Cybertruck, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Toyota bZ4X, Toyota Prius Prime and Ford C-Max hybrid. By the week, you can also rent a gas Sedan, SUV or 7-Seater SUV (a Nissan Altima, Nissan Rogue, Chevrolet Traverse or similar).
How old do you have to be to rent?
Drivers need to be 18 or older with a valid US or international driver's license. There is no young-driver surcharge. International licenses need an International Driving Permit and a passport.
